Weekly Wind Up #1

WOW - we have completed the first full week of 2016, I still can't believe we are in 2016, I am sure it was just the other day we have the year 2000, its crazy how the older you get the quicker time seems to go. With the new year, brings new goals and plans. My goal this year is to have a regular and consistent blogging schedule, and I am going to try and stick with it, even though this year is going to be a big year for our family.

Here is the plan:

My weekly windup – which is an update of what has been going on in my life for the week, and what is to come, I will also show you what has been happening on my social media (incase you don’t follow me – which you totally should be, as I am super awesome on there)- you can follow me here:
Secondly I will be posting my bump date posts – these are just an update on what is happening with my pregnancy for the week, and what symptoms etc I am experiencing. I don’t know if it helps anyone, but it’s good for me to follow and look back on to see what happened in this pregnancy – I wish I had done it with my first, but it’s there now in case there is a number 3…

Here are all my previous bump dates in case you have missed any:

On top of these, I will try and post something that is a DIY, review, recipe, or some words of wisdom (If I can think of any) – as not every blog post needs to be about me.

So with all that in mind – here is my first weekly windup for 2016.

This year I am going to split my weekly windup posts into 4 points, and try to write something interesting about each one. I am a big fan of using images in my blogs (you can’t really tell, because lately I haven’t been) – so these posts are hopefully going to be more “imagery” and less wordy. From time to time the 4 words may change, but am going to roll with these ones for a while and see how I go.

Doing: Trying to get back into work mode - it was my first week back this week, and its been really tough. There were only a handful of people at work, which I guess is a good and bad thing, but man - I am battling to get my groove back. I think its partly because I am only at work for another 8 weeks and then I go on maternity leave, so I know I am going to get back into it, and then suddenly stop again. We have also started sorting out the baby room, nothing major really, just washing bedding and clothes, and putting together swings etc, I need to start decluttering it soon though, because the weeks are going by really quickly, and I don't want to leave it too late.

Buying: I got some bargains this week, firstly a new cordless phone for home, our old ones suddenly stopped charging, so used my Flybuys points and got a new one - do people still use home phones, they seem like something that should be going out of fashion now that everyone has mobile phones. I also picked up a dress from valley girl (it's not a shop I usually shop at, because it makes me feel like a granny - their clothes really cater for the younger ages) - anyway there was a sale, and I picked up this gorgeous knit 3/4 length dress for $9.99 - too good to pass up. I did try it on with my giant bump, and no lie, I looked like I was wearing a condom - its so tight - definately something I will be able to wear when I am bumpless, but not at the moment. Lastly I picked up a "leather" jacket from at op shop - I have been looking for one for ages, and I happened to spot it as soon as I walked in, so could not say no!

Snapping: I have decided to do the @FMSphotoaday Challenge again this year - I don't even remember how may weeks I managed to complete last year - it was not a very successful challenge for me though, so 2016 is a new year, and I am determined to take more pictures. Feel free to join in the fun to - if you do, leave your instagram name in the comments and I will stalk you - (he he in a non creepy way).

Reading: If its not a kids book, then I am afraid it does not get read, I should probably start reading some baby books - incase there is anything I have forgotten, but I just don't have the time to read these days.
Watching: I have taken a liking to watching TLC (The living channel?) - there are some crazy shows on there, my current fave is "Stories from the ER" - or something to that effect. Basically they recreate crazy things that people have come into the ER with - some more bizarre than others. One that stands out, and I can't help but sharing is this guy who came in with a camping BBQ stuck on his willy. How did it get there you ask? Well.... The story goes, this guy and his girlfriend were camping, and decided to get it on (I should mention that they were both drunk and high) - anyway while getting it on, the guy thought it would be a good idea to stick his willy in a hole in the BBQ (I assume there was a knob missing - no pun intended). So he was sticking his willy in the hole so that his girlfriend could use it as a lollipop (get the idea) - and it got stuck.
So he came into the ER so that they could remove it. I will leave it there.

I think I have rambled enough for this week, so until next weeks wind up - have a fab week.
